Dr. Anthony Michael, Practice Owner, Veterinarian
Originally from Germantown, Ohio, Dr. Michael spent the few years after
high school as an exchange student in South America, and attending
college in Ohio. Dr. Michael then served in the Navy for 4 years.
Following his strong love for animals and nature, he attended UCSD
where he received a degree in Ecology in 1991. While attending UCSD,
Dr. Michael started as a technician at Clairemont Animal Hospital under
Dr. Watson. Dr. Michael attended the School of Veterinary Medicine at
UC Davis, spending vacations and breaks at Clairemont Animal Hospital.

Stephanie Bietau, Hospital Manager
Enjoying working with people and customer service, Stephanie spent most
of her college years successfully managing retail stores such as Bombay
Company and Williams-Sonoma. She earned her BA in Art History and
Photography from UCSD in 1999, and started looking for something fun,
interesting and rewarding to do. Stephanie's first veterinary job began
with Rose Canyon Animal Hospital in June 1999. Beginning as a
receptionist, she soon learned how to work with the animals and assist
the doctors as a technician. In November 2000, she became the Hospital
Manager for the Animal ER of San Diego in Kearny Mesa. Fast-paced and
exciting, the ER gave Stephanie a deep appreciation for the veterinary
world. In 2004, Dr. Michael called Stephanie back to Rose Canyon,
asking her to be his new Hospital Manager as he acquired the
hospital.
Stephanie enjoys
her little black cat "Psycho", finding new restaurants to try, and
traveling the world as much as possible! She attends the annual VWAH
trip to Mexico, and is involved with the Clairemont Chamber of Commerce. |

Kim, Technician
Kim is our resident Mid-Westerner- hailing from St. Paul Minnesota.
Knowing she might enjoy some nice weather, she came to San Diego in
2001 to attend SDSU. Kim came to Rose Canyon in February 2004. Her
original plan was to major in marine biology, but her love of all
animals moved her to graduate with a BS degree in Biology, emphasis in
Zoology in May 2004. Future plans may include Vet School, with the
intention of a career as a Zoo Vet, and possibly checking out some of
the other great cities in the US.
Kim
enjoys time with her 2 cats- "Lucy" the tabby, and "Sophie", and orange
tabby rescue. Traveling to other interesting cities is a favorite
pastime for her, as well as scrapbooking those pictures and going to

Nicole, Receptionist
Most of our clients know Nicole's voice well. She is our glowing
receptionist! A San Diego Native, she had always wanted to work with
and around animals. Nicole was a client here first, then jumped right
in when we needed a bright voice and smile up front. She says working
here is the most rewarding job she has ever had! We nabbed Nicole in
September of 2004, and she received her BA degree in Digital Design
from the Art Institute of California in January 2005.
Nicole
has several "fur babies" at home, including "Bella", a Siberian Husky,
"Capone", her mighty Rottweiler, and her cat "Kitty". Nicole married
her husband Justin in May of 2004, and enjoys spending time with him
and going to the movies.

born in Oakland and grew up in Long Beach. After moving to San Diego in
March of 07, she decided to pursue her dream of working with animals.
Her previous experience working in Customer service made her an ideal
